Cyberpunk shooter from Russian developers SPINE will receive a film adaptation

Announced at the beginning of 2021, the cyberpunk third-person shooter SPINE, created by Russian developers from the Nikke studio, will receive a full-fledged film adaptation. The film will be produced by the Story Kitchen team, which has worked on such films as Sonic the Movie, Tomb Raider: Lara Croft, and is also working on the upcoming film adaptation of Sifu along with John Wick creator Derek Kolstad.

“When we first heard about this upcoming game from Nekki, we lost our collective minds and started looking for a way to work together…SPINE with its main character Redline looks very cool,” said Story Kitchen.

“We immediately knew it was destiny and our teams shared the same rebellious spirit. We really appreciate the faith in our game and know for sure that the film based on the game will be a wonderful expansion of the SPINE universe,” the developers added.

Details and release dates for the film, unfortunately, are not disclosed.
