Premade, Custom, and Randomly Generated Races Dawn of Andromeda includes prebuilt races, each with their own background and traits, but you can also create new ones or start the game with randomly generated races. Ship Design You can research and unlock new ship parts and create unique new ship designs from them, or you can simply disable ship design completely when you set up a new game and research pre-made or randomly generated ship designs instead of ship parts.
