It turned out that technology serves people well. However, no special abilities are required. Moreover, it costs less. It is possible to illuminate the entire city with lanterns or warm buildings with heating. It was later revealed that technology and magic harm each other.

If you rely on enchantments, devices quickly fail. An engineer cannot be saved by magic. In a city full of sorcerers, steam devices stop working. Spells are extinguished where there is too much technology. Gradually, a terrible shadow of evil appears, which wants to destroy everything in its path.
