Blacksad – Under the Skin is a detective story that takes place in the universe of the comic book of the same name. The main character, an anthropomorphic cat named John Blacksed, investigates the mysterious murder of the owner of a boxing club, Joe Dunn. At the same time, it becomes known about the disappearance of the rising star Bobby Yale, who had to enter the ring to take part in the most important fight for his career.

The daughter of the deceased Joe, Sonia Dunn, who is also the owner of the gym, turns to our hero for help. She urgently needs to find the missing Yale, otherwise she will get bogged down in debts inherited to her, her business will be taken away from her, and with it her life.
