Courier of the Crypts is a pixel-based action RPG based on ideas and concepts from the Rogue-Like genre and diluted with atmospheric storytelling centered around the medieval courier’s career. The hero is forced to deliver parcels (letters and magic scrolls) to members of the sorcerers’ guild almost all over the world, wandering around the outskirts of cities, surviving in the wastelands and periodically looking into dungeons filled with monsters and creepy inhabitants.

Each descent into tunnels and abandoned wells is an impassable test with an unpredictable ending, because locations are generated every time by chance, and the death of the hero is irreversible – after the Game Over cutscene, the passage has to start from scratch. In addition to intense gameplay, the developers from Emberheart Games also focused on history: as the courier progresses, it will take pride of place in the guild, acquire titles and ranks, and get closer to a couple of trophies.

But the trouble is – the complexity grows as the narrative progresses, and the chances of stumbling are added every second: once you gape, the enemies will overwhelm you, and the traps will tear the protagonist apart. But such is the fate of a medieval messenger – to be one step away from death and rejoice in little things.
