Raiders! Forsaken Earth is a turn-based strategy card game with collectible and RPG elements and expressive but highly experimental decorations, reminiscent of unpainted sketches on a notebook sheet. In addition to the style, the developers from Ground Shatter have thought out the gameplay: the events unfold in cramped arenas, where the nameless main character is forced to fight the armies and squads of opponents.

The fighter’s arsenal is modest – no additional equipment and accessories – only the strength of the arms and legs, cunning and free space around. Battles are based on drawing cards from the deck and adding them to the playing field. After that, the hero will begin to play the action indicated on the card and interact with opponents, decorations or mechanisms.

Although in words the gameplay feels cumbersome and not too dynamic, in fact, after 10-15 minutes everything starts to work in the correct manner and in the spirit of a Hollywood action movie: special effects are everywhere, tumbling bodies, combinations of various martial arts and rolls. It is fun to watch the process, and with each new victory it is also interesting. It’s a pity, mistakes are inadmissible – the Game Over splash screen will instantly appear on the screen.
