HoYoverse has announced the next major update 4.3 “Roses and Muskets” for the action-adventure RPG Genshin Impact. The update will be released on December 20, 2023 and will be dedicated to the Fontinalia Film Festival, which is one of the most important traditions of Fontaine.
At the festival, players will honor the memory of the legendary Knights of Pure Springs, who witnessed the return of the previous Hydro Archon Egeria. To work on the film, a team consisting of brother and sister Kamisato, traveler and famous fashion designer Chiori will gather, and Furina will act as director. You will also be able to take part in a series of mini-games, such as creating a short film with different camera positions and “In the Frame” narration, and practicing shooting in the sniper game mode.
New characters in update 4.3 will be:
- Navia (5★, Geo, Two-Handed Weapon) – Capable of firing “Rosula’s Crystal Bullets” from the umbrella cannon. The number of shots fired is determined by the amount of “Crystal Shrapnel”, which is either accumulated by receiving elemental shards created by the Crystal reaction, or generated from an elemental explosion. Navia’s elemental explosion causes significant area damage, firing at enemies.
- Chevreuse (4★, Pyro, Polearm) – Fires bullets from Pyro’s musket and deals area damage, and also heals the active character using an elemental skill. Can increase firepower with an explosive grenade that splits into multiple secondary explosive projectiles.
In the first part of the update, players will see the appearance of Navia and the return of Ayaka, and in the second, the debut of Chevreuse and the return of Raiden and Yoimiya.
The patch will also significantly update the Sacred Call of the Seven card mode, adding new content and a limited-time Hot Battle mode. The Serenity Kettle will feature a new form of abode in the style of Fontaine. In addition, several quality of life improvements will be made, such as the ability to send all characters on an expedition with one click, the ability to bulk lock/unlock artifacts, set recommendations, and so on.
