Setting and storyline

I would like to start with the plot, but in this game it is very difficult to determine where the plot is and what it is. Naturally, you can say that your passage is the plot, because it, as you know, consists of a chain of events, starting with the plot, continuing with the development and reaching a peak at the climax, and then the denouement follows. But… this game starts without any plot. You are given control of a small, faceless boy who is being hunted by strange people in trucks and with aggressive dogs. At first, the scene is a dark forest, giving way to an abandoned farm, inhabited only by chickens and pigs infected with some kind of worm. Everything around clearly indicates that something terrible has happened in the world. But what is revealed further, in the city, really evokes horror. Nearly all humans have become controlled by a small zombie helmet, mimicking the wearer’s actions and doing their bidding. You have to lead the boy to the very end of a huge and half-abandoned factory, so that there he can … Put an end to this? The ending is ambiguous, and everyone will interpret it in their own way. We can also immediately say that there is a hidden ending, but before that, you, please, get to the bottom of it yourself.

Game process

What is this game in terms of gameplay? If you’ve played Limbo or other platform games, then you can remember it, and then you will have an accurate idea of ​​​​what the gameplay of this game is. This is a 2.5D side-scroller where you control a boy. You have to solve many physical puzzles. In other words, you have to move objects in such a way as to open your way further. There are a lot of levels in the game, all of them are atmospheric and colorful. There are water ones in which you have to control the bathysphere and avoid meeting with the terrible creature of the local waters; there are levels that do not obey the laws of physics at all, which, for all that, are still “correct” from a physical point of view, such as, for example, the level at which water is on the ceiling. Do not think that in this game they will not try to kill you – how they will! One of the famous video reviewers even jokingly called this game “a thousand ways to kill a little boy.” And indeed, every mistake you make will cost the character his life. You will especially have to be careful on a small level with an incomprehensible machine that emits impulses of enormous power and simply tears everything in its path. In addition, at some levels you will have to hide from dogs, often outwitting them, and in the very first location you will have to hide from people with machine guns. An interesting part of the gameplay is controlling the zombies with a helmet. So that they help you, put on a helmet and reproduce the necessary actions so that they repeat them.
