The plot of the series begins with communication with a friend named Kate. It turns out that other students deliberately played a dirty trick on her in order to put her in a bad light. The adventures from yesterday’s party were recorded on the camera, and the girl does not know what to do with it. Max admits to having some “temporal powers”. After that, the player spends some time with Chloe, exploring abandoned, atmospheric places with the heroines, while learning how to shoot a pistol. Returning to the territory of the student hostel, it immediately becomes clear that something is going wrong. And, indeed, Kate is standing on its roof, threatening to jump off it and commit suicide. A crowd of onlookers-observers crowded around, who in every possible way persuade her to calm down and stop doing nonsense. Using the rewind of time, we persuade a friend to pull down from the roof, and thereby save her from death.

Chaos Theory / Chaos Theory

We go to the office of the director of the university to find the necessary materials there related to the disappearance of the girl Rachel, which happened 10 years ago. She was the favorite of the whole class, and no one understood why anyone would harm her. Nevertheless, the crime remained unsolved, and our investigation will now continue until the very end of the game. Then Max goes to visit Chloe, after which he carefully peers at a photograph from her childhood. Thus, the player discovers another amazing ability, thanks to which you can travel to the distant past if you concentrate on a single object. Max tries to prevent the death of Chloe’s father so that she can continue to grow up in a prosperous family. We succeed, but when you return to the present moment, you will be shocked – Chloe is in a wheelchair.

Dark Room / Darkroom

Max decides to leave everything in the world as it is, and not change anything in the distant past. So everything goes back to normal, and Chloe and I continue our investigation into Rachel’s disappearance. A chain of clues and evidence leads us to a student party dedicated to the end of the school week. It is here that several main suspects are located at the same time. Ultimately, the killer is not the one who seemed to be initially. Mr. Jefferson, one of the best teachers, kills Chloe and captures Max, ties her up in the basement with a developing photo, and this episode ends tragically.

Split / Polarized

We are bound and tied to a chair – rewinding time cannot help here. It remains only to move to the very beginning of the game using the photo left by the maniac on the table. Here the player can completely change all events as he pleases, look at several generated alternative universes, more similar to the dreams of Max herself. In the end, the criminal can be brought to light, but our city is still in danger in the form of a powerful hurricane. The player can choose one of two endings – save the city and local residents, or only Chloe, after which the two friends leave home.
