MOBA Deadlock leak reveals character list and new details

Details of MOBA Deadlock, a new game from Valve, continue to appear online. This time the information was shared by insider Tom Henderson, who spoke with the alpha test participants. According to him, all previously published materials from ‎Gabe Follower are true, and the project is in the “early development” stage with many experimental gameplay features and artistic elements.

Testers describe the game as “very similar to DOTA in terms of gameplay and mechanics.” For example, a system has been implemented for finishing off creeps and enemy characters to obtain the in-game currency souls. With this currency you can buy items that will make your character stronger. Both creeps and enemies spawn souls after death, which floats up and away. You get the most souls by shooting them (souls that fly away still give a small amount of currency).

As for the creeps, they spawn randomly throughout the map, including the big AI boss in the center of the map. Some players have also reported that the game has spirit urns that players can place in the center of the map to give the entire team more souls (the spirit urns carrier is visible to all players on the minimap).

There are currently 19 playable characters in the game:

  • Abrams is a demon gargoyle-like character.
  • Bebop is a red robot who appears to be missing an eye.
  • Dynamo – Another robot
  • Gray Talon is a Native American character.
  • Haze
  • Infernus
  • Ivy is a demon.
  • Kelvin
  • Lady Geist
  • Lash is a warrior.
  • McGinnis is a welder or blacksmith.
  • Mo & Krill – a duo of a monkey and a pig.
  • Paradox
  • Pocket
  • Seven
  • Vindicta is a vampire-like character.
  • Warden – policeman
  • Wraith is a bounty hunter.
  • Yamato is a samurai-like character.

Unfortunately, the insider did not provide any new footage, and Valve itself continues to remain silent.
