Among hundreds of vacancies for the South Korean company NCSOFT, mentions were made of the development of a new game related to Lineage W. Mention of this project was found in several vacancies at once.
Future employees will have to create a multi-platform AAA game that will be released on the global market. Unreal Enginr 5 is used as the game engine. At the moment there is little information about the project and even the exact genre of the game is unknown. However, from the vacancies looking for server programmers and game designers, we can conclude that this will be a large-scale MMORPG with an open world, a variety of PvE and PvP activities, as well as social interaction between players. Separately, requirements for experience in developing and launching social games and game services are specified.

Lineage W is a cross-platform MMORPG released in November 2021 on PC and mobile platforms. The game achieved record sales in Southeast Asia in 2022. But in 2023, the financial performance of the project gradually decreased. Lineage W was supposed to be the last game in the Lineage franchise.
