NEXON creates a project inspired by Genshin Impact and The Legend of Zelda

Among hundreds of vacancies on the website of the South Korean company Nexon, we were able to find a mention of Project DW, announced back in January 2023. The project is being developed by NEXON Games, NEXON’s internal studio, based on the Dungeon & Fighter universe.

In total, we managed to find more than twenty positions related to this project. Among them are artists, animators, screenwriters, client and server programmers, as well as designers. We managed to find interesting points in the requirements for the latter.

Project DW is being developed on Unreal Engine (in the requirements you can find references to both the fourth and fifth versions) and will be released on PC and consoles. It is worth noting that support for mobile devices was previously reported, but this information is not included in current vacancies. Perhaps this was abandoned or simply not mentioned.

The game will feature multiplayer, but cross-play is not mentioned at this time. The graphics are created in an animation style and preserving the spirit of the original game series. There are a ton of characters to collect. In addition to the open world, there is also room for dungeons.

Interestingly, for some jobs, having level 55 in Genshin Impact and completing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will be a big plus when deciding to hire. Taking into account the listed features, you can already imagine what Project DW will be like.
