Aurora Studio has announced that it is shutting down the servers for its battle royale game Ring of Elysium. At the beginning of September, the developers disabled the ability to download the client via Steam, and now the project has been closed completely.
At the start, Ring of Elysium was very popular, and the online population exceeded 60 thousand people. However, over time, players began to leave the game, and major updates released did not correct the situation. By the end, online only rarely exceeded 200 people.
The developers thanked everyone who played Ring of Elysium and expressed hope to meet them in future projects, quoting William Shakespeare: “What is past is prologue.”
