Prophecy Games studio announced that the multiplayer first-person shooter TRIBES 3: Rivals will be released in early access on March 12, 2024. What is the main game mode in TRIBES 3?

The main game mode of TRIBES 3 is CTF (Capture the Flag), which can be played in both competitive and casual formats. The competitive format features 7 vs 7 teams, while the regular format features larger 16 vs 16 teams.

Additional game modes are also available: Time Trial, Range, Training and Custom Lobbies with customizable team sizes, physics and settings.

Questions about the game

How does ranked mode work?

Initially, the main mode of ranked play will be Capture the Flag 7 vs 7. The rating system is similar to those used in most modern shooters such as Valorant and Apex. We plan to provide more details about Ranked Mode at a later date.

What classes will be in the game?

The game will have light, medium and heavy classes available. Light classes are distinguished by speed and attack skills, medium classes by versatility and average characteristics, and heavy classes by power and defense.

Can players customize weapons and abilities?

Yes, weapons can be customized depending on your preferences and classes. We currently offer a variety of weapons and equipment to choose from, such as:

  • Spinfusers: In light, medium and heavy formats, with several options
  • Launchers: Bolt, Fusion Mortars, Gladiator, etc.

  • Torment – Travel through a steep volcanic landscape where players can enjoy breathtaking terrain and rugged mountains.
  • Hollow – Fly through a jungle filled with tall trees, overgrown roots and vines.
  • Raindance – Glide across plains, hills, towers and bridges that create a wide range of combat possibilities.

What is the maximum number of players that can take part in one game?

Matches of up to 32 players are supported. You can also play with your friends in groups of up to four players in casual modes such as 16 vs 16 CTF (Capture the Flag).

Will custom matches be supported?

Yes! Custom matches allow players to choose from a variety of maps, change team size, and adjust game settings such as health, energy, thrust, and gravity.

Will there be vehicles in TRIBES 3: Rivals?

Vehicles may appear in the distant future, but they won’t be available in Early Access.

Does the game have health regeneration?

Players do not receive passive health regeneration. To restore health in a match, they can pick up first aid kits from players they destroyed or return to their base.

Will the game be protected from hacks or cheating?

Yes. We use many internal and external systems to protect against cheaters or hacks. We have a number of systems in place to help us catch and report cheaters, and to warn or ban them if necessary. We use Easy Anti Cheat and also evaluate Denuvo Anti Cheat for use.
