The authors of the space strategy Homeworld 3 have revealed the roadmap for releasing content in the first year of support for the game. After the game’s release on May 13, 2024, the game will receive at least three paid DLC and four free content updates. Details about each update will be revealed prior to release.
The release schedule for add-ons currently looks like this:
- Free content in June: new challenges and artifacts.
- Paid DLC in July: new playable faction, new faction starting fleets, artifacts and faction emblem.
- Free content in August: new challenges, new artifacts, new map and system.
- Paid DLC in October: new playable faction, new starting faction fleets and faction emblem.
- Free content in the fourth quarter: new challenges, map and other content.
- Paid DLC in 2025: new playable faction, new faction starting fleets, new artifacts, challenges and faction emblem.
- Free content in 2025: new challenges, map and more.
All players will receive free updates regardless of the version of the game they purchased, and owners of the Collector’s, Deluxe and Fleet Command editions will have access to paid DLC.
In addition, it became known about changes in the system requirements of the game. First of all, the reduction in processor requirements in some positions is noticeable. Otherwise, everything remains the same as before.
