BioWare has announced a name change for the next installment in the famous Dragon Age series of role-playing games. If earlier the project was presented as Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, now it will be called Dragon Age: The Veilguard. This change is intended to highlight the uniqueness of the new heroes and their stories, as well as the importance of uniting their efforts to save the world of Thedas. The studio is keen to show how much it believes in the new characters and their role in the upcoming adventures.

As BioWare explained, after the release of Dragon Age: Inquisition, the company was able to explore various game concepts, including multiplayer. However, they ultimately decided to focus on creating an “immersive single-player experience”. In Dragon Age: The Veilguard we are promised new epic locations, threats and unique companions. Seven heroes will accompany the player, and every decision made will affect their destinies and relationships within the team.

The developers also announced that they are going to demonstrate the gameplay of Dragon Age: The Veilguard for the first time. 15 minutes of gameplay will be shown on official YouTube channel series already on June 11, at 18:00 Moscow time, during the stream. Those who join the broadcast in advance are promised “a few special surprises.”
