Ubisoft has decided to say goodbye to the very first part of the multiplayer racing arcade series The Crew. The game can no longer be purchased in digital stores, and the servers will be permanently closed on December 31, 2024. After this, everyone will lose access to the project, including those who previously purchased the full version.
Let us remember that The Crew was released in December 2014 on PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. In June 2018, a sequel, The Crew 2, was released for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The last part of the series, called The Crew Motorfest, appeared relatively recently – in September 2023. The game is available on PC and two generations of consoles.
