Released last month, The Sultans Ascend, a paid add-on for the real-time strategy game Age of Empires IV, became the best-selling expansion in the series’ history. About it told developers on the official X/Twitter account of the game. The exact number of copies sold is not reported.
The Rise of the Sultans expansion pack adds an all-new Middle Eastern campaign to Age of Empires IV, consisting of eight missions in which players must lead the Muslim resistance and challenge the Crusaders from Europe. Two new civilizations have also been added: the Japanese and the Byzantines. In addition, four new variations of already familiar civilizations have appeared, a dozen new cards, new rewards, and more.
