EXOR Studios announced that multiplayer will appear in the strategy with elements of action-RPG The Riftbreaker. This became known from the updated “road map” of game support for 2024. The network code is currently being tested, and testers have access to one PvP mode – Deathmatch. You can apply for participation in this test by filling out a special form form.
Additionally, the co-op mode is already in a state where it is playable. But, according to the developers, there is still a lot of painstaking work to be done: from optimizing the network code to reworking many elements of the game. They demonstrated the current result on the stream:
In addition to adding co-op to the game, the authors are working on two updates: free and paid. Briefly about the content that will be in these updates:
- New biome “Swamp” with new fauna and flora.
- Several new types of enemies.
- New technologies and crafted items.
- The economy of resource extraction and base construction will be improved.
- Several new defense towers for your base.
- Now your bases in remote areas will be attacked even if you are not there. Previously, monsters did not attack bases if the player did not visit the locations in which they are located.
- The story campaign will be expanded.
- There will be side missions generated taking into account many factors.
- Many small changes and edits, including those proposed by active community members.
