NCSOFT has installed a major patch in the MMORPG Throne and Liberty and launched several events dedicated to the 100-day anniversary of the game’s launch. This is one of the largest updates to date and reflects the developers’ attempts to remake the game based on player feedback. We have prepared a description of the main points from this update.
Co-op dungeons
All versions of the 50th base dungeons received a Challenge mode, in which monsters and bosses are strengthened and the chance of receiving rewards is increased. The list of rewards has been expanded, and now you can get five purple items in each dungeon. Among this equipment, rare set items are now available, which previously could only be obtained from world and guild bosses.
When opening the final chest, players will receive a new item, Dimension Soul Shard, with which they can craft equipment from this dungeon. Each dungeon drops a specific version of this item, and it is impossible to craft Grand General’s Strike Gloves with items from Death’s Abyss. In total, crafting requires 80 Dimension Soul Shard.
The only difference in the drop list between the Basic and Challenge modes was the Precious Parchment, which previously could be obtained at events in the open world. It is necessary both when creating books to improve weapon skills, and for creating recipes for some purple equipment.
The game now features a two-star dungeon, Island of Terror, which is a remade version of Tyrant’s Isle. The developers updated the dungeon, added new mobs and the boss Kertaki with new mechanics. This type of dungeon is designed to add variety to the game and challenge players. In the next 4 weeks, 4 more “two-star” dungeons will be added, including 2 completely new ones.
Among the new rewards, a pair of items, Precious Weapon Growth Schema and Precious Armor Growth Schema, stand out, allowing you to improve the equipment of the second grade. There are currently no screenshots of this improvement, so I would be glad if someone provides them. But to craft equipment of the second tier, you will have to knock out 20 items from all five “two-star” dungeons.
In “two-star” dungeons you will be able to get four new sets. In the first Island of Terror the “body” is obtained:
Set Wraith Knight’s gives:
- for 2 items +2000 maximum hit points
- for 4 items +12 units of chance of double damage in melee for every 1000 maximum hit points.
Set Abuss Slayer’s gives:
- for 2 items +15 units to the maximum attack value
- for 4 items +100 units of critical attack chance, and in case of a critical attack you will be replenished with 3% of your health points from the damage dealt.
Set Winged Wind gives:
- for 2 items +200 units of critical attack chance and
- for 4 items +10% critical damage power, as well as an additional 1% for each meter to the target.
Set World Tree’s gives:
- for 2 items +1500 maximum mana and +50 mana recovery
- for 4 items for every 1000 maximum mana, 0.6% buff duration and 0.6% casting speed under the “wet” buff are given (for example, during rain).
The new weapon is already in the game, but players will be able to create it, at best, only after 5 weeks, when they have farmed the required number of items.
It is worth noting that all characters were awarded 4500 dungeon points to open the final chest. This will allow players to receive the final reward fifteen times for completing “one-star” dungeons.
Important! For the first week after its introduction, “two-star” dungeons will require 300 points to open chests. After this you will need 450 points.
New Weapon Skills
All types of weapons received a new skill focused on teamwork. For example, a magic wand can restore the health of allies in a small area, and a longbow can blind enemies for 2 seconds and unmask targets that are in stealth.
Blocking skills have been changed so that different blocking modes are used depending on the movement. Now, if you are running and pressed block, the character will not stop and block the blow, but will simply roll in the direction of movement.
Antibot/antimacros protection
If your behavior seems suspicious to the security system, a special monster will appear next to you. It is impossible to kill him, and if you receive several hits from him, your character dies.
Interface changes
Among the significant changes to the interface is the addition of information about tasks to the world map. Now, when you click on a location, you see not only monsters and drops from them, but also a list of tasks available in this location. This will allow you to clearly track uncompleted tasks.
During a siege, you can now clearly see which guild owns key points: siege flags, resurrection flags, and tax chests. In addition, the opening and closing of the main gates of the castle is now announced “to the whole world.”
Other changes to the interface include:
- You can now share a task in chat simply by holding the Alt button and selecting the desired task.
- In the appearance settings menu, lighting settings, camera directions, and several backgrounds to choose from have been improved.
- Added Request Matchmaking and Find a Party buttons directly to the co-op dungeon selection window.
- The defensive buff activated after revival is canceled immediately after entering the castle.
Changes to the Tax Delivery event
After two failed Tax Delivery events, the developers made a number of changes to its implementation. Instead of three blocking walls, there is now one, but with a double margin of safety. “Detaining pylons” also received a nerf to their durability points – minus 33%.
Events in honor of the 100-day anniversary of the game’s launch
Several game events have started in the game, during which you can get a variety of rewards:
- Coupon HAPPY100DAYSTHX4ALL will give you a funny headdress in the form of the number “100”. The coupon is valid from March 13 to April 24.
- Special NPCs have appeared in cities, selling various useful items for 100 solant (game currency). Among them are food with buffs, items for creating equipment sharpenings and improving character skills, elixirs for extracting traits, and scrolls of daily contracts. This NPC will be in major cities until March 27th.
- All teleportation on the world map from March 13 to March 27 costs 100 solants instead of the usual 5-8 thousand.
- A holiday calendar has been launched with daily gifts for two weeks.
- A special Battle Pass has become available for new and returning players. In most cases, it has passable rewards, but the first reward in the premium version offers a special box with a purple weapon sharpened to +3.
- In co-op “one-star” dungeons, new and returning players will be able to meet a special NPC and receive a useful buff from him.
- From March 13 to April 17, players will receive double Dimensional Crystal when opening chests in co-op dungeons.
- From March 13 to April 4, players will receive one and a half times more Dimensions Soul Shard when opening chests in co-op dungeons.
- On March 15, all players will be sent a letter with valuable gifts.
