Well-known journalist and insider Tom Henderson, citing his own sources reported about the development of a new game based on the Prince of Persia franchise. The project will be called Rogue Prince of Persia and will be released in early access on May 14, 2024. The announcement will take place on April 10, 2024 at the presentation of the Triple-i Initiative.
Rogue Prince of Persia is a Roguelike action game with platformer elements from the studio Evil Empire, known for another game in the same genre called Dead Cell. The new product will receive regular free updates and develop over time based on community feedback. The game’s art design is heavily inspired by Franco-Belgian comics.
It is noteworthy that Rogue Prince of Persia should become the first game from the publisher Ubisoft since 2019 to be released on Steam on its first day.
