Details about the game classes and the world of the MMORPG Raven 2 game

Since the previous post about the new MMORPG Raven 2 from Netmarble aroused interest among our audience, we decided to additionally talk about some aspects of the game. Let us remind you that the project is expected to be released in South Korea at the end of May 2024 on PC and mobile platforms. From the eighteenth of April it takes place pre-registration.

At the moment, only general words are known about the game content, without specifics: PvE and PvP activities, designed for hundreds and thousands of players. Much attention is paid to the plot story, as it will contain cinematic videos, staged scenes and a deep study of the story. This approach to creating a plot, according to the authors, has practically not been used before in other similar games due to the demands on resources and time for their creation.

The game will feature trading through an auction, demonic items of equipment that only the best players and leaders on the server can get, as well as a confrontation between players for certain “Heavenly Stones”. It is mentioned that the world will be open, and the Unreal Engine 4 game engine is responsible for the graphics.

The history of this dark world includes more than one devastating war between gods and demons. At one time, humanity was practically exterminated, but after millennia, people again restored their world. On the game map you can see a lot of regions, but only three of them are talked about:

• Kingdom Velucia located in the northern part of the continent, among endless snow-covered mountainous terrain. This barren region is under the rule of the Osmund family, in which conflict is brewing between Edgar, the third king of Velucia, and Duke Owen, who claims the throne for his nephew.
• The kingdom is located in the central part of the mainlandDeron, in which a humid and warm climate prevails, and most of the territory is occupied by marshy areas. Many monsters and unfriendly tribes hide the swamps and thickets of this region. Once upon a time, King Philip, nicknamed “The Conqueror,” suppressed hostile tribes. However, now Queen Scarlet, his second wife, interferes in all political affairs.
• Romern – a southern country of sands and wastelands, where traces of a once thriving civilization are still preserved among aggressive monsters. It is led by Cilicia, who has a reputation as a stingy man. But Crown Prince Dahad, on the other hand, is known for being well connected.

According to the developers, they carefully approached both the graphical design and the creation of the backstory of the monsters. For example, pagan Druids use magic to create terrible and unrealistic monsters by combining several animals, including humans. And evolution and the influence of magic have brought out many dangerous predators that can be found in a variety of places. But among all the monsters, giant dragons stand out, which can withstand even Great Demons.

At the moment, six game classes are known. The developers tried to make the gameplay different for them, but we will only find out how noticeable this will be at release. It is also known that in comparison with the first part, Raven 2 has a simple combat system that allows players to enjoy completing tasks and participating in various events.

Night Ranger – an archer capable of hitting a target anywhere on the battlefield. They can quickly find a target and never lose sight of it. Although they are not strong in large-scale battles, their targets are sure to be hit.

Berserk – a warrior who sweeps away any enemy with a heavy two-handed sword. He pays no attention to pain, but focuses only on the blood of his enemies. His skills allow him to quickly approach a target and knock him to the ground or throw him into the air.

Divine Caster protects and supports allies with the magical power given by the primordial goddesses. This class is a powerful assistant on the battlefield. He can protect and heal allies with the power of prayer, as well as resist all the demons that penetrate the human world.

Vanguard – a knight armed with a sword and shield. Excellent in both defense and attack, he is a leader and is constantly in the front row when fighting any opponents. Allies can rely on his skills to reduce damage and stun enemies.

Elementalist – a wizard who wields the powerful power of the elements and skillfully manipulates mana. He can continuously use magic in any situation, thereby suppressing enemies and inflicting explosive magic damage on them.

Destroyer armed with a powerful crossbow that is capable of destroying enemy lines and neutralizing any defense. In addition, this class is an expert in thrown weapons. Its main disadvantage is its short distance, but it makes up for this with massive attacks and effective deterrence of the enemy.
