The Equinox update will affect not only the MMORPG EVE Online, but will also introduce a number of changes to the online shooter EVE Vanguard. The developers say this is the biggest update to the game’s alpha since the first playtest in December 2023. Testing will take place from June 20 to July 1, and a number of new content will appear in the game:
- New map with a sunken ship, polluted water and fantastic fauna.
- Ability to customize your weapons and carry them between matches.
- New missions focused on espionage and the recovery of valuable assets.
- Players will be given more ways to interact with the world and other players.
- Lots of improvements based on player feedback, including balancing various aspects of the game.
- Introduction of a multi-level reward system for participation in the test.
However, before the large-scale update there will be several more stages of testing. The nearest one will take place from April 25 to 29, 2024 and will be available to all Omega subscription holders.
