Heaven Dust 2, as the developers themselves call it, is a “declaration of love” for classic survival horror projects. Players who have already tried this project are more direct, calling the game a “cartoon clone of Resident Evil.” The game was developed by Chinese indie studio One Gruel Studio and released on Steam on January 6, 2022.

Under the “childish” appearance, Heaven Dust 2 hides classic survival horror mechanics. The player is waiting for tough resource management, exploration of quite extensive and carefully designed locations, fights with ordinary opponents and terrifying bosses, as well as many puzzles of varying degrees of complexity, for which you can lose track of time.

The plot is built around Steve – the character of the first part of Heaven Dust. After the events of the first game, a virus leak occurs in the research facility. Deep in the dungeons, under endless floors of laboratories, Steve wakes up in a cryochamber to find himself once again surrounded by zombies and mutants. He will need to break out to the surface, even if it means that a terrible secret covered by the researchers will come out with him.
