Misery Mansion is an uncompromising first-person horror game, a dark and almost occult atmosphere and a storyline familiar to the genre, based on the “whales” of the genre – a broken car, an abandoned mansion and mystical events. These elements together lead to traditional gameplay – wandering through corridors and rooms, collecting items and interacting with elements of the environment.

As you progress, you will periodically encounter local inhabitants hiding in the darkness and appearing at the wrong moment – when there is only silence and rustles barely reaching the hero. The atmosphere in the horror is thought out to the smallest detail, despite the linearity of the events taking place.

Almost every location makes you gaze into the darkness, look under beds and into drawers in order to find useful items, and at the same time – look around and calm down if floorboards suddenly creak around or tortured souls scream around. The gameplay is not meditative – almost 90% of the time you have to move quickly, leaving no traces and getting used to “hide and seek”. You will have to hide where even reckless monsters, occultists and sectarians will be afraid to climb.
