On the eve of the start of early access of the open-world sandbox Palworld, the developers decided to answer the most frequently asked questions. They covered various aspects of the game, including content, localization, multiplayer and modification. We have prepared for you a translation of questions and answers into Russian.
When will Palworld be released?
Palworld releases in Early Access worldwide January 19, 00:00 PST (at 11:00 Moscow time – translator’s note).
How much will Palworld cost?
Palworld will cost $29.99 during Early Access! The price will depend on the regional currency.
Will there be new areas and zones added to Palworld?
Yes! Palworld will continue to be updated during and after Early Access! We’ll share the roadmap for our first year plan shortly after release!
Does Palworld have PvP?
PvP will not be supported in the initial version. However, we are currently conducting internal PvP testing and experimenting with different approaches. We want to find the right type of PvP to suit Palworld, and when it’s ready, we’ll share the news with you all.
Will Palworld be on Xbox Game Pass for PC?
Yes! Palworld is on Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass for PC!
Does Palworld support cross-play between Xbox and Steam?
Not yet, but we are working to make this possible as soon as possible!
Will Palworld come to PS5?
We have no plans for this at the moment, but we will look into it during development!
Will Palworld support more languages?
We have no plans to add new languages in the initial version, but we would like to support more languages as the game develops! (Russian language support has already been announced at launch – translator’s note).
Does Palworld support controllers on PC?
Yes!
Can Palworld be played offline and alone?
Yes! You can play Palworld alone offline or with friends online!
How does multiplayer work in Palworld?
You can play Palworld with up to 3 friends by simply starting a multiplayer game and inviting them (4 player co-op). In addition, you can create a dedicated server that will allow you to gather up to 32 players in one world and create guilds. We will provide tools for creating such servers at the start.
Can I use my character in single player and multiplayer?
At the moment, partly yes. Your character is bound to your world and cannot be moved between servers or in single player.
However, if you’re the host in multiplayer, you’ll be able to freely switch between single and multiplayer, but your guests won’t be able to.
We plan to provide a method for transferring servers/saves later in the development process.
Does Palworld support modding? Steam Workshop?
Steam Workshop support will not be implemented immediately, but we plan to add it after launch. Palworld is built in Unreal Engine 5 and we’re excited to see what mods people come up with!
Is this game a scam? Or is it an MMO for making money, or a game with virtual currency?
This is not a scam, and the game will definitely be released on January 19th. Palworld is a regular Steam game, you buy it once and it’s yours forever. While we may consider expanding upon the full release, this will be discussed with the community when the time comes!
