Gender lock, armor sets and gold mining – MMORPG Tarisland developers talk about changes after the CBT

Closed beta testing of the MMORPG Tarisland has already ended, and during this time the developers managed to receive a lot of useful feedback from the participants. In their official Discord server, they talked about the most frequent requests from players, which they plan to take into account in the future. We have prepared a complete translation into Russian for you.

About gender lock

We saw some discussion and suggestions for gender locking in the community during the first playtest, and we also received more feedback on this topic during the last playtest. Therefore, we have decided to remove the gender lock for all classes in future versions to meet player expectations and create a more pluralistic and inclusive game.

This process will be very exciting, but also difficult and time-consuming. The development team takes time to ensure that the animation and art style of the characters meet our high standards. We greatly appreciate your understanding and patience. We will inform you about the progress of the work and share with you in the future.

Implemented drop of armor sets

We’ve also received a lot of feedback on gear loot. Players currently obtain gear primarily from dungeons/raids and crafting, and there will be some changes to the rules for obtaining armor sets.

In future versions, class armor sets will only drop in raids, and crafting sets will become impossible. This adjustment will ensure that the drop is superior and indispensable in raids.

Changes to the stone inlay system

In the latest playtest, we introduced a new system called Inlay Stones, which aims to give players the ability to strategically customize their characters’ attributes. However, our data and player feedback suggest that design flaws in this system have undermined the gaming experience.

It is expected that the stone inlay system will be unlocked gradually as the player progresses in the game. Therefore, in future versions we will remove trading in stone energy. Players will only be able to gain energy through daily activities. This will allow all players to start at the same starting point and gradually unlock each node until the entire system is unlocked.

About receiving gold

During our most recent playtest, we noticed that players may be finding it too difficult to mine gold in the current system, making the game less enjoyable.

To solve this problem, in future versions we plan to give players gold coins daily using in-game systems. We hope this will allow players to fully enjoy the game with less effort.

Additionally, changes to commercial content are still being discussed and we will need more time to finalize the details to ensure you have the best gaming experience possible. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

This is just some of what we are currently working on. Other topics we’re also working on include PvE content difficulty levels, 5-player dungeon challenge attempts, raid scheduling, social and teamwork systems, further optimization of class builds, adjustments to professions, and the introduction of additional PvP features (such as , PvP talents and PvP equipment).
