The cooperative third-person shooter Helldivers 2 was released just a day ago and has already managed to break the record. The project has become the most popular on Steam among those published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
At the time of writing, the maximum number of users who played Helldivers 2 at the same time was 81,840. For comparison, the previous record belongs to God of War (73,529), followed by Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered (66,436).
However, despite its strong online presence, Helldivers 2 has mixed reviews on Steam, mostly related to optimization issues. However, the developers have already released a patch that improves performance.
Helldivers 2 is available on PC and PlayStation 5.
