Lesta Games launched a charity fundraiser to help WWII veterans

Lesta Games, which develops such games as World of Tanks, World of Ships and Tanks Blitz, announced the launch of a charity fundraiser. In all three games, special sets have appeared on sale, all proceeds from which will go to help veterans of the Great Patriotic War. According to the authors, the estimated amount could be several tens of millions of rubles.

“Victory Day is our great holiday. Day of remembrance and mourning for the departed. Day of gratitude to our ancestors. A special day for those who survived after going through the crucible of the Great Patriotic War. Every year there are fewer and fewer of them. But we will never forget their victory in 1945. We owe everything to this iron generation, our sacred duty is to help them. We remember them and are proud of them. I’m sure many of our players feel the same way. I know that even a grain of health, given with all my heart, is very expensive. I believe that together we will collect enough for our help to be felt,” said Malik Khatazhaev, head of Lesta Games.

“Our Red Carnation is a charity event to raise funds to help veterans, which takes place every year and provides an opportunity for those who need it to receive help. We are very pleased that the first Russian gaming company has joined us this year, and that their goal is to help veterans of the Great Patriotic War. These people are our pride, our history, they gave us a great Victory. Thanks to the Lesta Games company, we will be able to quickly resolve the issues of many of our clients without delaying time, because many WWII veterans today are over 100 years old. Medical care is what they need first and foremost in order to continue to stay with us as long as possible,” added Katerina Kruglova, executive director of the Memory of Generations charity foundation.

Lesta Games promises to report publicly on the results of its fundraising. The Memory of Generations Foundation also confirmed that it will inform about the progress of assistance to specific veterans of the Great Patriotic War.
