Relic Entertainment has announced that real-time strategy Age of Empires IV will support cross-platform multiplayer. This feature will appear with the start of the seventh season, which is expected on March 21, 2024.
In the upcoming season, PC users will be able to play together with owners of Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles. This innovation should have a positive impact on the speed of matchmaking. However, how much this will affect the balance remains to be seen.
