EA and Popcap are trying something new with the release of a multiplayer shooter and download Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville via torrent will be available very soon.

Game features

• The key surprise here is not only that EA continues to pump money into the sort of all-ages shooter franchise (which I love), but also the method the publisher uses to release this game to the world. Battle for Neighborville will be released in installments, with new modes and features added every week for the next six weeks.
• Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville is a third person shooter game similar to Garden Warfare games and the first PvP mode available is 24 Player Territory Claiming, essentially a reworked version of the Command Object Mode from Garden Warfare 2. Also releasing area today PvE called downtown where players will encounter NPCs, fight enemies, solve puzzles, find hidden collectibles, and uncover history. Eventually, all other Garden Warfare modes will return. Also on the way is a new 4v4 Battle Arena mode: a best-of-seven contest where you can’t use the same character twice.
• Neighborhood Battle features ten plant classes and ten zombie hero classes, with some returning from the Garden Warfare series and some we’ll see for the first time. Acorn is an acorn that isn’t very strong, but can turn into an oak tree (you guessed it, an oak tree) that other Acorn players can jump on to become turrets. The zombies have a similar multi-crew transformer, the space cadet, who can transform into a space station.
• New modes and PvE zones will be released every Tuesday until October 8th, when the only addition will be the launch of the weekly PvP event. On the 15th, another weekly event will take place, followed by the Battle of Neighborville on October 18th. Also available at launch is a Neighborville version of the Battle Pass called Festival Prize Maps. Prize cards are free, but when the premium currency is released, players will be able to use it to speed up progress. Premium currency will also be spent in a shop called Rux’S Emporium.
