Released just a week ago, Arrowhead Game Studios’ co-op third-person shooter Helldivers 2 has already won the hearts of gamers. Some fans are hoping for a PvP mode, but the developers are in a hurry to disappoint them: there are no plans to add it.
Johan Pilestedt, CEO of Arrowhead Game Studios, explainedthat PvP modes can harm the friendly community that has developed around the game.
“We will “never” add a PvP mode. This is done to reduce the amount of toxic elements in the community. We want the community to be supportive, fun, and have us all fighting on the same side!” – said Johan Pilestedt.
Pillestedt recommends that those looking to compete against players look to other games such as Escape from Tarkov.
Instead of PvP, developers Arrowhead Game Studios will focus on PvE content to make Helldivers 2 a long-lasting and successful game that will be fun to play with friends.
