At the ongoing G-Star 2023 exhibition, the developers of MMORTS Project G shared new information about their game. We chose the most interesting moments.
Project G strives to differentiate itself from games of a similar genre. In this game, strategy and tactics are important, as well as the presence of certain units. In addition, unique gameplay mechanics were added, such as temporary construction of bridges.
The game is dedicated to constant battles, and therefore guilds and alliances play a big role. But war cannot be interesting if there are no unexpected situations in it. Therefore, the game has units and structures that can bring chaos to the battlefield:
- Dragons that prevent the formation of a front line.
- Siege weapons that destroy guild buildings and weaken defenses.
- A magical weapon designed to fight dragons.
- Guild towers capable of blocking enemy logistics.
- Bridges that create shortcuts instead of impassable terrain.
- Temporary fortifications in which detachments or armies can remain while awaiting new orders.
But it is the soldiers who are the main fighting force, so they are considered the main characters in the game. In total, the game features 4 races with units of different levels and different characteristics. Players can form squads depending on the different tasks that the game poses to them and their preferences. Squads of players can unite into armies and act as a single unit. For example, to destroy strong bosses on the world map.
At the moment, we are developing the interaction of people within the guild and creating various tools for communication between people in the game. The guild interface will allow you to exchange messages, your movements on the world map and the results of battles.
The ability to manage a guild during mass battles will have an interface unique to such games. The movement of troops, logistics and battles are designed in clear and convenient functionality.
In addition to battles between guilds, players can expect other activities: developing their cities, fighting squads of monsters and bosses, searching for useful resources, as well as invading other servers as part of special events. The developers tried to add some variety to the usual activities. For example, if you kill a certain number of monsters, a boss will appear or stronger monsters will appear in a certain area.
Heroes in the game are not only a useful buff for the army, but an opportunity to tell stories in the game. Each race will have its own storyline in which our heroes will participate. According to tradition, heroes can be developed and they will have unique skills.
The developers are confident that the game will arouse interest among fans of online strategies, and thanks to its high-quality execution and unique mechanics, it will bring a new word to this genre. The game will be released on PC and mobile platforms around the world in 2024.
