Setting and gameplay

As you may have guessed, the protagonist is a train driver who must drive the entire railway track through the scorched wastelands. It is not clear what exactly caused the apocalypse, but judging by the radioactive contamination and storms, it can be assumed that it was the third world war with the use of nuclear bombs and other atomic weapons. Now people have split into two opposing camps, and the infected representatives are gradually turning into the living dead, real zombies. They do not have any rudiments of reason left, and the only thing they need is to find food, living human flesh. The remaining normal people do everything possible and dependent on them to survive. They need to find shelter, shelter, as well as the optimal amount of food and water for their livelihood.

The player in The Final Station has to make his way through the infected territories, devastated lands. Moreover, there is only one railway here, which means that there will simply be no other way out. There are 2 ways – forward and backward, but the retreat will be like death. Shoot down irradiated zombies, explore adjacent locations in search of items necessary for common survival. Solve logic puzzles at these stations – the gameplay is as diverse as possible for an indie adventure. Post-apocalyptic atmosphere

The arcade action catches its players first of all by the fact that the developers have provided for a huge number of little things that in one way or another affect the gameplay. Also, one of the key features is that the storyline remains open after the ending, and everyone who downloads the torrent and goes through The Final Station to the very end can subsequently figure out how it all ends. The creators were inspired by many classic science fiction works, including the novels of the Strugatsky brothers, which certainly influenced the quality of the world they invented. And I must say that she is far from optimistic and not joyful … Attention, spoiler: despite the fact that throughout the entire storyline the main character plays the role of a savior, he will not be able to save himself.
