Lesta Games has released an update for the multiplayer action game “World of Ships”, which added the port of Vladivostok to the game. The developers carefully recreated it from photographs taken from 1945–1950 so that the capital of the Far East could be explored in detail. Players will see many iconic buildings and structures, for example, the building of the Commercial Port Authority, the monument to G.I. Nevelsky, the water tower, the circus and others.
“We haven’t ignored the Far East before – for example, the Soviet battleship Vladivostok and the heavy cruiser Petropavlovsk have long been implemented in World of Ships; any of our players can add them to their collection. Since the end of 2023, the Far East has become one of the main points of focus for the Lesta Games Group of Companies in all projects and at all levels – from new gaming facilities to large-scale e-sports tournaments,” said Gauhar Aldiyarova, head of the Moscow division of the Lesta Games Group of Companies.
“It’s a wonderful decision by the developers to add the port of Vladivostok to a game with a multi-million dollar reach. Of course, it is important that the capital of the Far East will be represented in cyberspace. I am sure that the residents of Vladivostok who play World of Ships will be pleased to see their city among the significant ports of the world in such a popular domestic game. And, of course, through the visualization of iconic objects of Vladivostok, the developers are popularizing Russia’s outpost in the Asia-Pacific region,” added Konstantin Shestakov, the head of the city of Vladivostok.
In May, the World of Ships will continue the theme of the Far East – the Kamchatka Peninsula will appear. Players will be able to fight each other on a new game map, which will feature Target Hill and the Three Brothers rocks.
