Digital Bros has announced that the authors of the car simulator Assetto Corsa 2 have postponed the release from spring to summer 2024. The main reason is the development of an add-on for Assetto Corsa Competizione, the previous game in the franchise, released in 2019. Initially, the project will be released in early access on PC, and will later reach consoles.
The add-on for Assetto Corsa Competizione will be called the 2024 GT World Challenge Pack, and they plan to release it in the spring. It will include the legendary German 24 Hours of Nürburgring circuit, renowned for its technical difficulty with steep elevation changes and blind corners, which should present a real test for even the most experienced drivers.
Digital Bros management estimates that this change in release schedule will not have a material impact on the company’s business prospects for this fiscal year.
