Wemade for the first time commented on the progress of development of the MMORPG MIR5 and the shooter This Means War, and also announced a separate release of the Korean and global versions of the MMORPG Legend of YMIR. This information became known during the financial report for the 1st quarter of 2024.
Legend of YMIR can already be called a long-term construction and problematic game, since the release was repeatedly postponed. The game was originally supposed to be released in 2023, but at the moment there is not even an exact release date. The Korean release is planned for 2024, and the global version should be expected in 2025.
MMORPG MIR5 was announced a month and a half ago, but the release is expected in 2025. According to a company representative, this game will move away from the usual system of monetization through paid roulettes to obtain valuable items (the same “gacha” for costumes, pets and mounts containing characteristics for the character). The company was forced to take such a step, since this system is not in demand on the global market, and in South Korea itself this element is limited by the government. While Mir’s previous games were aimed at Asian countries, Mir5 is targeting North American players.
First-person shooter This Means War is still a dark horse, and comments about it are rare. It was confirmed that the project is dedicated to the realities of modern war. Videos of modern armed conflicts, including those on the territory of Ukraine, were used as samples and references. The release is planned for 2025.
