And then one day Commander Zaitsev occupied an American satellite with a radiator on board. It is not entirely clear why the Americans need this installation on a peaceful satellite.

But Captain Zaitsev really needs him. Having taken the colony, at the same time he attacks San Francisco, destroying it from the face of the Earth, and thus makes it clear to the United States that he does not intend to joke. But it seemed to him that the destruction caused was not enough, and he threatened to end New York in a short time if the American leadership did not fulfill his demands. At this time, we take control of the main character – Sam Gideon, who is listening to a press conference.

Start

The game starts with a quick introduction to the entire technical base of the military system, which takes place in the form of training, in one of the DARPA hangars. This group makes the most advanced weapons and trains the best soldiers. Before the attack, Sam was given the honor of testing the latest ARS model, which we will play with. The pumping of this unit is very high: there is extended armor, a “rocket pack”, etc. If you earn dangerous damage, the deceleration device will work on its own.

It’s nice that many of the costume’s features work well in the gameplay. In Vanquish, the levels are fenced arenas with a crowd of opponents, and if in the last game, the studio separated them with various magical things, this time it is more plausible: the door closes in front of the player until he destroys all opponents. True, while the battle is going on, you do not pay attention to it. The staging of any battle is worthy of respect.

Combat system

Pros: the ability to shoot from cover, speed, craziness, jet engine. Cons: opponents, sitting in ambush, can get a bullet in the forehead.

Opponents are divided into three groups: large, small and giant. There are a lot of small rivals, and they are all the same. With big opponents, everything is more interesting, here are tanks with a drilling complex, and robots that transform into scorpions. To destroy them, you should find unprotected areas. Giant opponents are the boss of the levels. As a rule, this is a cyborg from a trial version in various locations, and once it will be two cyborgs. We will also meet a huge metal dragon. We will fight with his leg.

Sam in Vanquish has an ally in the rear – Elena Ivanovna. She gives the hero orders and important information about the enemies. In battle, Sam is helped by ordinary soldiers who do not have good weapons and mental abilities. They throw themselves under fire and quickly die. The game turned out to be very colorful, everything explodes and burns very realistically. It strains only the same type of designs of some points, but during the battle you don’t always pay attention to it. The background music helps to fully immerse yourself in the game.
