Today we have already talked about the unusual 17th-century fencing simulator Hellish Quart. Now it’s time for the ship simulator – Caravel: Set Forth. We will go on a sea adventure where we need to survive… To do this, we monitor the state of the ship and the well-being of the crew. The gameplay is as follows: we see the ship from the side as if it had been cut in the middle. Each character can be controlled as in This War of Mine. The developers promise a dynamic change of day and night, as well as unpredictable weather conditions. Nothing is known about the pirates, and the game looks too calm for such an action. Plus, in the video, we see a pre-alpha build, which may be added in the future.

Before sailing, you need to manage your supplies: what to take with you and how much? Sometimes you have to transport livestock, which also needs to be fed. Each crew member has their own unique characteristics. The developers offer to observe the sea’s beauty, but the physics of water is done at a relative level, so the question is open – how quickly will it get tired? The game took place in the 15th century.

Caravel: Set Forth is coming to PC. There is no exact release date yet. More information can be found on the official website.
