The developers of “Battle Royale” Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds have released a major update 12.2, but so far only on test servers of the PC version. Its main feature was the Taego map, previously presented under the code name Tiger.
The new location takes players to 1980s South Korea, where they fight in a variety of locations, from the cramped quarters of the Hosan Prison to the open reed fields. The map has a mechanic called “KB with return”, reminiscent of the GULAG from Call of Duty: Warzone, which allows defeated players to return to battle after winning a special arena. Also among the loot you can find AED – an item for self-resurrection.
“PUBG Studios has unveiled unique maps in various sizes and we are delighted to finally introduce the Korean-themed map – Taego,” said Taehyung Kim, PUBG World Development Director at KRAFTON. “We hope all players enjoy the new gameplay, features and elements of the new map.”
Update 12.2 for PUBG will be available on the PC live servers on July 7th, and on consoles on July 15th.
