Amazfit hosted an event in China today, during which two wearable devices were presented to the public under the names Amazfit Pop Pro and Amazfit GTS 2 mini… The devices are variations on the already well-known Amazfit Pop and Amazfit GTS 2, with some key differences that allow Huami to position them in different price points.
For the most part, the Amazfit Pop Pro is identical to the non-professional version that is sold in India under the name Amazfit Bip U. We see the same 1.43 inch square LCD, Bluetooth 5, 5ATM, 60 sports modes, etc. The battery capacity is 225 mAh, and the company promises 9 days of battery life.
What sets Pro apart from others so this is his own GPS… The regular Amazfit Pop relied on the GPS of the connected phone, which means it couldn’t properly track walking and cycling workouts if the user didn’t have their phone with them. This add-on module increases the device’s price from 349 yuan to 399 yuan (60 USD). The release of new items is scheduled for December 10. The Amazfit Pop Pro will hit major Chinese retailers in black, green, and pink.
The Amazfit GTS 2 mini does not contain any new features. It does the same as the Amazfit GTS 2. The difference lies in the body size and the battery capacity. Instead of a 1.65-inch AMOLED display, new got a 1.55-inch screen… The battery capacity is 220 mAh, but considering the smaller screen size and lower power consumption, the GTS 2 mini will retain its battery life – for 7 days with intensive use, 14 days of regular use, or 21 days in the basic watch mode.
Reducing the screen size by 0.1 inches has allowed Amazfit to offer miniature wearable devices 300 yuan cheaper than regular smartwatches. The device is already on sale on the brand’s website in pink, green, or black body colors.
