One fan costs 22.9 euros
Cooling component specialist EK Water Blocks has unveiled its proprietary EK-Vardar EVO 120ER D-RGB fan, painted white. More precisely, the frame is made of opaque white plastic, and the seven-blade impeller is made of translucent white plastic, so it acts as a diffuser. The backlight is addressable with nine full-color LEDs.
The fan speed is regulated by PWM in the range of 500-2200 rpm. The manufacturer refers to the advantages of the fan as the Start-Stop function, which stops rotation when the fill factor falls below a certain threshold (0.25-0.30). This helps to reduce noise, reduce dust build-up on the heatsink and increase fan life. The declared service life is 50,000 hours.
The double ball bearing fan is designed to be connected to a standard 4-pin 12V connector. The backlight connects to a 3-pin connector and is compatible with all common control technologies. Multiple fan backlights can be daisy-chained to simplify cabling.
The fan costs 22.9 euros.
