It has long been known that Samsung Display is one of the display suppliers for Apple. The company is reportedly not going to end cooperation and will continue to supply future iPhones with its screens, but they will have a noticeable high refresh rate.
One of news portals in Korea said that Samsung will now provide OLED displays with a high refresh rate of 120Hz. The updated screens are equipped with LTPO technology. It allows you to significantly reduce energy costs, while maintaining high frequency rates. These displays will be installed in the upcoming iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. This suggests that in upcoming smartphones we will be able to see smoother picture and Always-on-Display function.
At the moment, most of the world’s premium devices boast 120Hz refresh rates, and Apple doesn’t like being left behind. In addition, it is known that the corporation also cooperates with other companies – LG Display and BOE Technology Group, but their displays are simpler and do not have LTPO.
