Last Epoch developers have disabled the Family Sharing feature due to scammers

As Last Epoch players have noticed, the project no longer supports Family Sharing on Steam, which allows you to share your library with other users. There were no official announcements on this matter, so many wanted to hear a response from the studio.

The situation became clear quite quickly. Answering a question from one of the Discord users, a developer under the nickname EHG_Kain confirmedthat this feature has indeed been removed. According to him, the Family Sharing feature contributed to the spread of RMT and bot breeding, and also deprived the team of the ability to quickly ban the accounts of violators. This resulted in a significant amount of spam, RMT abuse, gold selling, and botting, all in less than two weeks.

At the end of his message, EHG_Kain assured that the studio will continue to explore opportunities to return support for this feature. However, there is still no approximate time frame for when this will happen (or whether it will happen at all).
