Nixxes Software studio has published the system requirements for the PC version of the open-world action game Horizon Forbidden West on the official PlayStation blog. They are divided into four categories and are designed for different graphics settings, screen resolution and frame rate.
Minimum (low settings, 720P @ 30 FPS)
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit (version 1909 or higher)
- Processor: Intel Core i3-8100 or AMD Ryzen 3 1300X
- RAM: 16 GB RAM
- Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 4GB or AMD Radeon RX 5500XT 4GB
- Disk space: 150 GB on SSD
Recommended (medium settings, 1080P @ 60 FPS)
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit (version 1909 or higher)
- Processor: Intel Core i5-8600 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600
- RAM: 16 GB RAM
- Video card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 or AMD Radeon RX 5700
- Disk space: 150 GB on SSD
High (high settings, 1440P @ 60fps / 4K @ 30 FPS)
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit (version 1909 or higher)
- Processor: Intel Core i7-9700 or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
- RAM: 16 GB RAM
- Video card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 or AMD Radeon RX 6800
- Disk space: 150 GB on SSD
Very high (very high settings, 4K @ 60 FPS)
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit (version 1909 or higher)
- Processor: Intel Core i7-11700 or AMD Ryzen 7 5700X
- RAM: 16 GB RAM
- Video card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 or AMD Radeon RX 7900XT
- Disk space: 150 GB on SSD
The developers also said that Horizon Forbidden West on PC will offer a wide range of graphics settings. In addition to individual settings for texture quality, level of detail, shadows, water, terrain and more, you can use sliders to adjust field of view and visual effects such as motion blur and film grain. Additionally, you’ll find toggles for adjusting full-screen effects such as radial blur, lens flare, colorization, and vignette.
The complete edition of Horizon Forbidden West will be released on PC on March 21, 2024.
