We continue to determine what innovations have been brought by the latest MIUI 12.5 branded user interface update released by Xiaomi and currently in beta testing. After analyzing the updated icon customization, users who tested it found that it appeared and new battery information… It’s been years since smartphones only told us the percentage of battery remaining. Now, the user interface from Xiaomi has expanded the autonomy statistics, informing the user about the remaining percentage of the charge and the battery life that he can count on. Thus, we can find out both the battery’s actual state and which operating mode has the greatest influence on the consumption of charge.
Xiaomi improves battery information with MIUI 12.5 update
In the MIUI 12.5 update, the screen regarding the battery of Xiaomi smartphones has changed. Compared to previous versions, the new update adds information for users. It points out to beginners that to get the most accurate statistics, the smartphone must go through 3 full charge cycles. Only then can the system provide accurate information about the behavior of the battery.
At the moment, on the screen MIUI 12.5, there is a graphical overview of the battery status that transitions between the grades “Excellent,” “Good,” “Normal,” and “Low.” This way, we can understand whether the smartphone needs a battery replacement. Below this graph are two other items on the screen: the battery temperature and the number of charges performed. Finally, there is a switch to enable/disable reverse wireless charging (if supported).
As with other innovations, this option is integrated exclusively into the latest Chinese MIUI builds in beta testing. Alternatively, you can use localized builds from the Xiaomi.eu team.
