Developers from Old World Labs announced a playtest and PvP tournament before the launch of MMORPG Abyss in early access. You can apply to participate in the test on the page at Steam. The authors did not name the dates for the PvP tournament and invite players to choose the exact date and time on their own, but it will definitely take place in the next week. It is planned that such events will be held periodically. The playtest will start on April 9th or 10th, after the developers install a major server update.
The game is scheduled to be released on Steam Early Access on April 18, 2024. To access, you must purchase the game for $24.95 at official website. It is possible that sales on Steam will start simultaneously with the launch of early access.
Abyss Online is positioned by the authors as an epic MMORPG in the mystical world of Aeternea. Among the features of the project are an open world, a dynamic combat system, many story quests, a free economy and a well-developed crafting system, as well as extensive opportunities for character development. The game is being developed on Unreal Engine 5 and in the future will be available not only on PCs, but also on consoles and mobile platforms.
