The Samsung Galaxy M52 smartphone has appeared on store shelves. Is it better or worse than the Samsung Galaxy M51? Is it worth overpaying, what will the buyer pay for and is it possible to play on it? We’ll find out now.
So the Samsung Galaxy M52 came out. Its price and specs will surprise you, especially when compared to the previous model, the Samsung Galaxy M51. One year passed between the release of smartphones, but during this time little has changed, albeit for the better. We look.
Both devices have Super AMOLED Plus, while the new generation supports 120 Hz, while the old one only supports 60 Hz. The diagonal is also unchanged, 6.7 inches, the same applies to the pixel density – 393 ppi. Some users point out that the Galaxy M52 produces slightly unnatural colors, although this is corrected through the settings. They also note a very fluid interface.
There are discrepancies on this point: the M51 has a Snapdragon 730G, and the M52 has a Snapdragon 778G, and with 5G support. They have differences in the process technology (8 nm versus 6 nm) and in points in AnTuTu 9 (332K versus 535K). Nano Review reports that the SD 778G beats its predecessor in all respects. For example, in games, he scores 52 points against 30 points for M51.
As for the memory, there is no change here – a maximum of 8/128 GB. In terms of the battery, everything is not so happy: the Galaxy M52 has a volume of 5000 mAh with fast charging at 25 W, while the Galaxy M51 has a volume of 7000 mAh. But don’t be fooled by these numbers: the manufacturer claims that the previous generation charges up to 100% in 115 minutes, which is quite a lot.
There are no special changes in cameras, only the Galaxy M52 has for some reason removed the depth sensor, so buyers will be left with a triple module of 64 + 12 + 5 MP. The main lens has an f / 1.8 aperture, which in theory will allow you to take night shots. Both smartphones can only shoot video in 4K and 1080p, while at 30 FPS, no more.
The front is also not so rosy: the previous 32 megapixels, only now the aperture has increased – f / 2.2 versus f / 2.0 in the Galaxy M51. If you need 4K video recording with a selfie camera, then the next generation is not the way to go. It turns out that both devices are not suitable for shooting video at 60 FPS, and the manufacturer also does not claim support for stabilization.
- Samsung Galaxy M52 – 34,999 rubles
- Samsung Galaxy M51 – 34,990 rubles
So is the M52 worth buying? If you can find it for the same price as the M51, it is definitely worth it. These smartphones are clearly not suitable for high-quality pictures and videos in the style of Hollywood, but the Samsung logo, good screen and average gaming performance can overcome these shortcomings.
