Monster Hunter: World – How to Stop Bleeding

There are many effects in Monster Hunter: World that can both strengthen you and, conversely, slightly reduce your effectiveness in battle. One of these unpleasant effects in the form of bleeding, you will probably encounter more than once during your many hunting expeditions. And if you do not know how to deal with it, then bleeding can make your life in the game very difficult.

You will most likely encounter the bleeding effect for the first time during the fight with the mighty Odogaron in the Rotten Vale. If you’re still having trouble fighting this boss, be sure to read our guide on how to kill an odogaron. The bleed effect instantly lowers your total health and drains additional HP each time you move. Unfortunately, this greatly reduces the chances of getting out of the battle alive, because an attempt to escape from danger inevitably leads to a loss of health, and being in a risk zone can easily lead to death.

There are two ways in Monster Hunter: World that will help you get rid of bleeding without much difficulty. The first option is to duck down and remain completely still. To do this, you need to remove your weapon and press (Space) on the keyboard.

It is necessary to remain in this position until the bleeding stops completely. After that, you can safely move around without the danger of losing precious health points. However, its level will still be extremely low, so you will need to use a recovery potion.

The second option to stop the bleeding is to eat well-cooked meat. During one of the quests, you can find several servings of Astera Jerky meat in your inventory. Or you can always buy some of these useful provisions in reserve. Astera Jerky instantly stops bleeding, which means you don’t have to risk your life and wait crouching until the debuff wears off and you can get back into the fight sooner.

Bleeding is one of those effects that you will want to stop as soon as possible, as it is one of the most dangerous negative effects that await you on your perilous journeys. And to make them easier and more fun for you, follow our Monster Hunter: World guides, and we will try to tell you about all the interesting moments and game mechanics that you will encounter in the game.
