After a string of rumors and leaks, Riot Games has officially announced Valorant Mobile, the mobile adaptation of the popular PC shooter Valorant. The company is looking to expand its franchise to reach an even wider audience, and launching on smartphones will be the first step towards that goal. Unfortunately, there are no details about the game yet.
“In the first year, it was extremely important for us to earn the trust and respect of shooter fans. We aimed to prove that Valorant will always uphold the standards of a quality competitive tactical shooter. The support and approval of our growing community has surpassed all expectations, and we look forward to seeing more players around the world discover Valorant. ” – said Anna Donlon, executive producer of Valorant at Riot Games.
As for the PC version of Valorant, it turned exactly one year old on June 2. During this time, users have played more than 500 million team matches, and the monthly audience around the world is now 14 million players.
To celebrate the anniversary, Riot Games is hosting a one-month celebration for all Valorant players. In June, they will be able to receive a variety of in-game souvenirs, including a player card and free access to the event pass.
